Disney Professional Internship
As a Disney Professional Intern, I worked with Global Security's Internal Communications team developing engaging and informative content that drives employee engagement and knowledge while offering professional development opportunities. Here is a selection of the projects I have contributed to while in this position.
The Connector - Monthly Internal Newsletter
Each month we share a monthly newsletter that contains employee highlights, business updates and DE&I events. For these newsletters that we send out to over 500 team members, I contribute to the stories, graphics and designing the HTML. We use Adobe Dreamweaver to design newsletters and other graphic-based emails.
Written Work
A key part of my internship is promoting professional development and creating opportunities for team members to grow within the company. To do this, I helped lead the 2021 Global Security Mentoring Program with communications and events.
Web Design
Each week I contribute to the management of our internal and external websites to maintain regular communications for our various stakeholders. We use WordPress across all our sites.
Website Analytics
To better our strategy to reach employees on our different channels, I analyze existing metrics based on our Google analytics and proposed new methods to ensure accurate reporting methods in partnership with our web partners.
Employee Engagement
To better connect with our team members, we have begun to include more fun content that they can contribute to and see their colleagues' contributions. For the 2021 holiday season, we created a Holiday Cookbook and Holiday Video with submissions from team members across the world.
